The birth of a new form of artistic expression:

P. H. Neuhorst - a life committed to artificial light - addresses the art of light in cooperation with Ilka Henkel.
The fascination of light as well as the spectral colors led us to the "DNA of Light".
This is a platform for new luminous art that has the potential to expressively reinterpret art themes such as flora, fauna, still life, nude, geometry etc.
It is created by breaking down the light into its spectral components - red - green - blue, and the mixture of them: yellow, orange to violet, as it is done with the prism or in the rainbow.
The actual artistic process is just like painting. It is the consideration: What do we want to represent? From this follows the elaborate creation of sculptures, backdrops and decorations about the intended theme.
This then illuminated with the colored light components, influenced by the intensity of the selected color components in conjunction with reflections and mirroring. Fascinating pictures in radiant and unique luminosity are created.
The process of mixing the colored light components can be imagined in the same way as mixing the color on the palette. A little more blue, a little more violet, more yellow, less red and so on.
The resulting artworks can be reproduced on different materials. When printing on plexiglass, for example, illumination from behind is possible thanks to LED technology. The owner can change the image himself by means of a remote control. If he changes the light colour, for example by reducing the red colour tone, the picture contains more blue colour and thus appears cooler. And so the room also appears cooler. The owner becomes his own artist.

For me art is the challenge to learn new things and to see art objects more detailed.
Working with design agencies and printers provided me the opportunity to design and implement new ideas.
Handicraft skills such as welding, blacksmithing, painting and chainsaw carving completed my qualifications for the artistic creation. This was further intensified by light painting with colored light in cooperation with the light designer Paul Heinrich Neuhorst.

Application forms of the new art direction
The printing of these pictures can be done on a variety of materials. eg. on textiles, foils, cardboard, paper, aluminum, sheet metal, glass or plexiglass.
When printing on glass or plexiglass, self-luminous pictures and light impressions are possible thanks to backlighting with LED technology.
When selecting the pictures, we can draw on a large, already existing pool.
Of course, pictures can also be created according to your personal motifs and ideas.
